Message from Chairman

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board was first constituted on March, 1962 pursuant to an order of the Govt. of West Bengal in Education Department [vide No. 828-Edn (D)]. Subsequently, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has been re- constituted on September, 2014 under the WBJEEB Act, 2014. Since the date of reconstitution, the WBJEEB has been operationalising as a body corporate having perpetual succession with a common seal under the Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. The JEEB has been constituted and/or reconstituted with a mandate to conduct Joint Entrance Examinations for selecting students for admission to the undergraduate courses in engineering and technology and post-graduate professional, vocational and general degree courses in various educational institutions rendering professional, vocational and general education in West Bengal. I take this platform to convey my heartfelt greetings to all esteemed Board Members, Officers and Staff members of the Board; and all stakeholders. I assure you all that the WBJEEB will be evolved as a premier testing agency in our State in conducting fair, efficient and standardised entrance examinations for admissions. I respectfully solicit all kinds of cooperation and supports from all related persons in functioning the JEEB.
